Patrick Woods (Deputy Vice Chancellor, Resources, UTS) updates us on the UTS Masterplan and the aspirations of the University as part of the Sydney South Central Creative Quarter.
Patrick Woods, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Resources), is accountable for financial services, commercial services and facilities management.
He is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective use of the resources of the University to achieve its key strategic priorities of Teaching and Learning, Research, Student Focus and Community Engagement. The areas within his portfolio include annual budget, long and short term financial planning, property development, commercial services, long term campus development plan, maintenance and improvement of existing facilities, external financial reporting, internal management reporting, crisis management, security, building services and environmental sustainability programs.
The Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Commercial Services, the Director of the Program Management Office and the Director of the Facilities Operations Office report to Patrick Woods.
Patrick has strong leadership experience, and a very good understanding of the higher education sector. His previous roles include Director of Financial Operations and Systems at the University of Sydney, Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operating Officer with TMP Worldwide AsiaPac, management consultant, and Managing Director of Merisel (a computer hardware and software distributor). Patrick has an MBA from McMaster University in Canada.
